Programs and Departments
One of the leading resources that you have in Orange County is the Florida Department of Children and Families. Since being founded in 1996, after the split of the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services, the DCF has worked to provide vulnerable individuals a safe environment. The focus of the department has always been to promote economically self-sufficient and strong families, with the added bonus of pushing personal and family recovery to the forefront.

Another program that has been in existence to help domestic violence victims is An Abuse, Rape, Domestic Violence Aid and Resource Collection, or AARDVARC. AARDVARC is a non-profit organization that is based nationally, but has locations in Seminole, Orange, and Osceola counties. They are dedicated to learning and education for victims, while still providing them valuable resources for recovery. Their efforts are highly regarded in the industry, as they push to combat the existence of domestic violence.

The Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence is a statewide organization whose goal is a violence-free world. Not only do they provide ample education, training, assistance, and support, they work to empower women and children to put an end to the abuse. HopeLine is a program that connects survivors of domestic violence to vital resources, funds organizations nationwide and protects the environment. To date, they have collected over 10 million phones nationwide, while donating over $20 million dollars to domestic violence organizations.
